Our gem for two. On the outside the view sweeps from flowery meadows up to steep mountains and the blue sky. On the inside there is a fragrance coming from the wood that resembles the old barn combined with the sweet and delicate scent of alpine hay. This unique combination creates a gentle and mild atmosphere like the one surrounding our Julla.
Juliane, mother of Franz, born in 1948, is living on the Aussergosthof:
„When I look back now and think how everything worked out, I come to the conclusion that we all grow with our tasks! I never intended to marry a farmer; I couldn’t help it, the Aussergost-farmer was the chosen one. I neither intended to move to the city. You can’t just leave, if you are born on 2000 meters over the sea level in the “Wiednerschwaige” taking the first breaths of healthy Seiser Alm-air.
I’m the sixth child of Barbl and Paul Goller, two innkeepers from Kastelruth.
I’ve been mowing the meadows on the Seiser Alm as long as I can remember. These times where wonderful as well as very hard. Sleeping in the hay, tend to the cattle and cooking for my Father and my brothers. Such things play an enormous role in our lives, they characterize us.
We introduced new processes on the Aussergost manor: For the first time we accommodated guests in our house, which was an immense pleasure for me. In the course of time I became a real farmer myself with body and soul. “
